We have partnered with the experts at Chateau Vino de La Isla to maintain our vineyards and develop our small production wines. In this way, we can combine the charm of offering limited edition wines while maintaining the highest quality standards. We engage a professional team of viticulturists, oenologists, sommeliers and other key members to bring you the very best bottles.

Winemaker

I started my career in wine in 2005 in Moselle, Germany. I worked at a winery which was a pioneer in organic viticulture. From here, I went on to make wine in the United States. I worked in the cellar of a large winery. It was here that I learned about cellar structure and systematic teamwork. I returned to Moselle, Germany and worked as a field manager for a winery.

In 2014, I moved to Mallorca for love. I needed an idea of what I could do as a winemaker on the island. The result was a new business concept called WeinWert. We plant and maintain vineyards on behalf of our customers. In total, there are now over 100 hectares across the whole island between Andratx and Artà.

After planting the vineyards, we also offer our customers the ability to vinify their grapes. To do this, we founded Vino de la Isla. We bought a large château where we make wine from the island’s smallest producers. With the 2023 vintage, we are producing well over a hundred different wines at the château, each one hand-crafted to our customer’s specifications. It gives me great satisfaction to be able to produce some of Mallorca’s most unique wines.

Oenologist

I am a winemaker, from Mendoza – Argentina. I have been working in the wine industry for 26 years. I am a passionate wine philosopher and music fan.

For me, wine is philosophy; it is a way of life, it is culture, it is why you get up in the morning, live your day and dream your dreams at night. It is the reflection of the person you were at the time you made it.

I have created wines which obtained scores higher than 95+ in recognized publications such as Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, Wine Advocate, Decanter and International Wine Cellar by Stephen Tanzer.

Tireless by nature, I channel my creative energy trying to challenge the limits of traditional viticulture and oenology. I put my body and soul into each wine I make. I use my knowledge to make high quality wines with a lot of love and passion.

Sommelier

I am a native Spaniard and a qualified sommelier with a great passion for wine and gastronomy.

My journey from Austria to Spain over the last few years ended in the beautiful island of Mallorca. From waiter to F&B manager, I have worked for various restaurants and hotels in all star categories. In the process, I have gotten to know many good wines from all over the world.

This prompted me to turn my passion into a career. In 2016, I obtained my degree as a qualified sommelier in Austria. Since 2019, I have been working in Mallorca mainly with Spanish, particularly Mallorcan, grape varieties and wines.
